♻️ REDCycle Has COLLAPSED Sending Thousands Of TONNES Of SOFT PLASTICS To LANDFILL

You might remember late last year when we discussed the REDcycle scheme being put on pause. Well, things have gotten much worse since.

Coles and Woolworths were found to be storing over 5,000 tonnes of recycled soft plastics in 15 warehouses across NSW. The NSW Environmental Protection Authority and Fire Rescue NSW deemed this unsafe and ordered the supermarkets to either export, recycle or dump the plastics. As other countries won’t take contaminated soft plastics and they aren’t able to recycle that volume, landfill is their only option.
