Cats living in this new Tasmanian housing development will have to stay on their owner’s properties thanks to a recent decision by the Commonwealth.
The Huntingfield development sits alongside the Peter Murrell Reserve, which is home to a critically endangered bird species, the forty-spotted pardalote. In an effort to conserve one of the last remaining colonies, local cat owners will have to prove that their precious pets won’t explore the surrounding area.
