Only 30 of the beautiful Southern Corroboree Frog remain in the wild. But conservation efforts have stepped up since Kosciuszko National Park in NSW was ravaged by bushfires in 2019-2020. There are now fireproof enclosures to keep these frogs disease-free and reproducing while scientists try to find a solution to the deadly chytrid fungus which has reduced their numbers drastically.
