China’s GIANT PANDAS Are Getting EXTRA PROTECTION Through This DIGITAL TECH SYSTEM!
China’s giant pandas are no longer endangered thanks to immense conservation programs over the years and now, there’s even more cause for celebration!
A Digital Panda System has been introduced in the Sichuan province in China for over a year now, helping detect danger in remote forests and grassland areas (we’re talking 596 cameras, 45 infrared cameras, drones and satellites!). Additionally, facial recognition is also expected to be introduced to help identify individual pandas more accurately to improve biodiversity and conservation!
