A DINGO FENCE Is Now Protecting ORCHID BEACH

For years, Orchid Beach (on the heritage-listed island, K’gari) has been the site of unfortunate encounters between humans and dingoes. Now, after receiving $2 million in funding, the beach is now home to a dingo-proof fence.

The dingo population has steadily grown across the island, but by keeping them away from the human-populated areas, residents are hoping to experience fewer run-ins.
