People Are Abandoning Their PANDEMIC PUPPIES In Droves For This Sad Reason
Animal charities in Victoria are desperate for help after a surge of dogs being surrendered. Previously, around 50 dogs a month were handed into @rspca_vic, but that number has increased to 150 dogs per month since Christmas. People cite behavioural problems as the reason, which may be due in part to the lengthy lockdowns Australians, and primarily, Victorians endured during the height of the pandemic. This meant dogs were not able to exercise or be socialised as they normally would. But, you can help in many ways by volunteering your time, fostering, adopting, donating or spreading awareness.
