ELEPHANTS Are Evolving WITHOUT TUSKS And Humans Are To Blame
Elephants are evolving without tusks and years of poaching is officially to blame.
Researchers studying female elephants in Mozambique have discovered less elephants are being born with tusks, a direct result of the ivory poaching that happened during the Civil War (between 1977 to 1992), where 90% of the population was slaughtered.
Elephants unable to grow tusks were unharmed, leading them to reproduce and pass on their tuskless genetics.
