The iconic ibis can be found around most of Australia, but has not yet become a permanent resident in Tasmania.

An ornithologist from BirdLife Tasmania believs that in the next 30 to 50 years, the ibis may migrate down south to Tasmania thanks to warming temperatures.

Found in Australia’s far north and being poisonous to a lot of native wildlife, the toad was removed from the area for the safety of other mammals, reptiles and insects.
