Climate Change Is Now An ECONOMIC ISSUE As The TREASURY Reintroduces Climate Modelling ♻
Federal Treasurer announced today that the treasury will reintroduce climate modelling. So what does this mean? They’ll kick things off with a major review of climate change’s economic impact, the first major review since the Rudd Government in 2007. The treasury will then keep these findings in mind when mapping out the future of the Australian economy, which they stopped doing in 2013 under the Abbot Government. Treasurer Chalmers has said it will allow us to chart jobs, industry opportunities and the cost of electricity as we cut emissions.
