Turtles have rights ⚖️ The Panamanian government just granted legal rights to sea turtles, protecting their right to live and have free passage in a healthy environment. Panama has had issues with people hunting sea turtles for commercial gains, and in particular their eggs, so the government has taken action to protect them The laws are unique in that they specifically state that sea turtles, as living creatures, have rights that must be protected. This means Panamanian turtles have a right to live free of pollution or other human impacts that cause damage to their health, like poaching, tourism, development and climate change. It also empowers any Panamanian citizen to be the voice of sea turtles and legally defend them ⚖️ Tag a friend who loves the environment to let them know about this small victory for our animals Nick McDonald7 months ago6 months ago 😱😱You’ve Never Seen TINY HOMES Like This! 😱😱 Katie Chambers4 years ago4 years ago icon Check Out The Adorable BELUGA WHALES At This OPEN-WATER SANCTUARY!
