Big things are happening in Australia! Melbourne is home to the first 3D printed house in the Southern Hemisphere. Construction company, Luyten were responsible for creating this eco-friendly home. By using recycled waste materials as ‘binders’, the houses use less concrete and are more sustainable than typical houses. 3D printing also allows them to reduce 60% of construction waste, 70% of production time and 80% labour costs! We hope this means we’ll be seeing some eco-friendly and affordable 3D houses on the market in the not too distant future. Would you live in one?
