Have you noticed a decline in coffee over the past few years? Well climate change could be why. Due to poor farming conditions in countries like Brazil, who export 40% of the world’s supply of coffee beans, farmers are choosing to plant the weather-resistant but harsher tasting robusta bean, which is normally used to make instant coffee. As temperatures rise, cafes will either have to stop using the sweet and varied flavours of arabica beans or be susceptible to price hikes and supply shortages.
