CAPYBARAS Use BATHS To RELAX And IMPROVE SKIN Just Like People
We’ve suspected it for decades, but a new study just proved that capybaras take baths to improve their mood and skin, just like people! We love a self-care routine.
Capybaras are from South America, so they’ve adapted to warm climates. In the 80s, Japanese zoo keepers would help them combat the cold, dry air by bathing them in hot springs. Unlike most animals in most environments, they actually loved the baths! Now scientists have confirmed that the baths were putting them into a state of total comfort and relaxation, while also improving their skin!
The study is being used as evidence of the benefits of Japanese hot springs, but we think it’s evidence of how cute capybaras are!
