WA Is PROTECTING The ENDANGERED NUMBAT With This NEW NATIONAL PARK
There’s hope for the numbats! The Western Australian Government is transforming Dryandra Woodlands into a new National Park, protecting threatened or endangered animals like the western quoll, the woylie and the numbat.
Due to the clearing of forests for farming and from bushfires, as well as the threat of invasive predators like foxes and feral cats, the numbat population is down to less than 1,000.
However, by protecting these WA Woodlands, this new National Park will be a sanctuary for these adorable marsupials. There’s also two campsites and a small village with accommodation for those who want to visit these cute little critters.
