Good News! There Are Now MORE Than 300 Northern Hairy-Nosed Wombats In The Wild!
Do you know about the northern hairy-nosed wombat? As Australia’s largest wombat species, it is classified as critically endangered, with its population dipping to just 35 in the early 1980s.
However, a dedicated team of scientists, researchers, and conservationists have worked tirelessly for three decades to save them from the brink of extinction. Over 95% of these wombats are found in Queensland’s Epping Forest National Park where they are monitored, studied and looked after. We hope these numbers will continue to grow!
