CONFIRMED! The AMAZON RAINFOREST Now CONTRIBUTES To Global Warming
A new study has revealed that the Amazon rainforest, the largest in the world, is a bigger contributor of C02 than it is an absorber. This is bad news for the environment!
Taking steps to cut emissions and prevent deforestation are more pressing than ever with a scientist predicting the forest releasing almost a billion tonnes of carbon dioxide a year.
This is mainly due to CO2 produced from forest fires – many deliberately set to clear the land for beef and soy production. This makes future forest fires more likely from the lack of rain and rising temperatures.
