♥ The Tourist Centre On ROCKINHAM ISLAND Will No Longer Go Ahead To PROTECT PENGUIN Population! ♥
Good news! The WA Government has cancelled plans to build a $3.3 million tourist centre on Rockingham’s Penguin Island.
The news comes after campaigners and scientists believed the construction (and increase of tourists) would prove harmful for the already declining population of little penguins on the island.
The island’s little penguin population has already declined 80% since 2007.
