♻️ WOOLWORTHS’ Latest Collectibles Are To Be Made From RECYCLED PLASTIC! ♻️
@woolworths_au has just announced their latest collectibles range…and this time, they’re to be made from recycled plastic.
“Woolworths Bricks” are set to be the next collectible toy for kids, redeemable through shopping in-store. In previous ranges, we’ve seen mass amounts of plastic being wasted, with the uber-popular “Ooshies” becoming a viral hit. Yes, the kids loved them, but their longevity was minimal and sparked mass consumption of an unnecessary product.
This time around, the materials being used will come from recycled materials – around 80%. So the makeup of these toys is somewhat more sustainable.
Woolworths has also partnered with TerraCycle ANZ to give shoppers the option of recycling unwanted bricks in-store, that will then be turned into items for the community. Like park benches and garden beds.
We loved the “Little Garden” series that came to light last year, where kids were given micro-pods and seeds to start their own at-home garden. No waste AND educational!
Woolworths Bricks will no doubt be more interactive and possibly more fun for kids, but is 80% recycled material enough? You tell us! Hit up the comments and let’s discuss!
