⚡ GUESS Which MAJOR UK CITY Is Trialling A ZERO EMISSION ZONE ⛽
Oxford is the first UK city to trial a Zero Emission Zone (ZEZ), charging a fee to enter with a combustion engine vehicle.
The fees are dependant on the Euro-emission standards of each vehicle, with ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEV) like hybrids paying £2 a day and cars that meet Euro 4/IV petrol or Euro 6/VI diesel standard paying £4.
All other petrol vehicles must pay £10 and the city has plans to double these fees in August 2025. The zone is currently restricted to only a few streets, but the city wants to expand it if the trial is a success.
